Her mother Amanda Cornett was just 16 years old when Selena was born. When she was just 9 years old Selena was able to make her first role in the world of showbiz by playing Gianna on Barney and her Friends. It was one of the children who got to play with the most well-known purple anthropomorphic dinosaur. Selena played a role in many episodes of seasons 7 and 8 in the period 2001 and 2003. Fun fact: Selena was not the only one who sang in Barney as well as his Friends in this time period. Demi Lovato also was part of the cast of the show.
