John Denver, a singer-songwriter who hails from Colorado who was a specialist in folk pop music inspired millions of people. He was born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico he fell in love with Colorado and eventually moved to Aspen. Denver's famous anthems about Colorado have inspired many people to relocate to Colorado. G. Brown of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame says the fact that John Denver is unlike any other musician who represents Colorado. Denver is the Hall of Fames' initial inductee, was honoured by the honor in 2011. Today he personifies the state for all people. When you encounter people from other countries, like New Zealanders, and they ask them "I am from Colorado" then they instantly respond with "Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads was one of Denver's top 10 singles after he performed with small folk music bands. It was co-written and performed by Bill Danoff. Danoff had Johnny Cash as the inspiration for the song, but Denver realized that it could turn into a hit once the song was first heard by him. Just a few days after singing to an enthusiastic crowd on the streets of Washington D.C., the artist recorded the song.
